Balabolka - Text to Speech

"Balabolka" means "chatterer" in Russian, and that's where this freeware TTS tool takes its name. Balabolka is based on Microsoft's Speech API (SAPI) but with changes designed to improve the clarity and articulation of the artificial speech generated by speech platforms.

Balabolka, which is a free program and available in a variety of languages, is a valuable tool for the visually impaired but is also useful for people looking to edit their writing or listen to books on their computer. The program downloads easily and is easy to begin to use. Balabola has many adjustment to individualize it for each user. As long as your computer has a sound card and speakers or headphones you are ready to go. Just take what you want the program to read, copy it to clipboard and then paste it on Baabolka and press the Read Aloud button and you're in business. It is also possible to set the program so it will read writing as soon as it is placed on the clipboard. Balabolka is a valuable free program.
